What we would have todo is think a way to preserve generational wealth past the third generation. Asking the right questions, maybe analysing what happens with the resources each time.

I think I read that the Vanderbilt family has maintained their family’s generational wealth for multiple generations.

On another note,
I have a friend whose family has maintained generational wealth for 3-4 generations, however in his 20s, he was on his way to blow through it due to alcoholism. Luckily, his trust is set up to only “pay” him a defined amount per year (around $300, 000). He also got sober and has been doing positive things over the past decade.

No, you can have generational wealth. You can have life insurances that payout. When you die so that you're next generation has money, even if you didn't earn it or save it. Dying with zero is ridiculous.That's poor people talk. 😊
