FIXED: iPhone 5 / 5C / 5S Only Charging When Turn Off

EVERYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM! I read a comment on this post saying to lick your charger and it will work, I took out my charger, quickly put it on my tongue and felt a VERY VERY little slight electric buzz which is good shows the charger works, popped it back into my phone and BOOM it’s charging! Not any spit just the tip of your tongue onto the part that goes in the phone and your phone should be charging while on👍
It’s a temporary fix so try to get a new charger asap but the trick should last a while or few days before stopping completely

Right so basically replace every component in the phone and see if it works...

Notice how any charger worked when the phone was new, when it’s older suddenly the same chargers won’t work. That’s Apple telling you to get a new phone.

Right, so basically replace the components. Thanks buddy you were sooo helpful. Good think I have all these spare components and the knowledge to do it by myself

Try using it on a real Apple charger. Every time I get 15$ ones they have this problem after a few weeks. A brand one it charges with no issues

This happened to me a week ago on my iPhone 6 all I did was disattached the battery from the mother board and clipped it on again and it started charging normally again. 🙂

I had iPad Air with same problem. Looks like IC is gone and not the flex cable.
