2018 - 2020 Land / Range Rover Remote Key Battery Replacement - DIY

Here is a quick video on how to replace the battery in the 2018-2019 Land Rover Key Fob.

When the battery needs replacing, there is a significant decrease in the effective range and the instrument panel displays Smart Key Battery Low.

To remove the emergency key blade, push the button on the smart key.

Pull the emergency key blade in the direction of the arrow.

Use the emergency key blade to separate the smart key's body.

Fit a new and unused CR2032 type battery, available from a retailer/authorized repairer, with the positive (+) side upward.

All accurate and helpful, but it is much harder to pry it open than this video implies. I needed to watch several others that acknowledge this and then use a flathead screwdriver.

Great video! My fob was a more durable so I used 2 really small flat head screwdrivers and shimmied my way up the side. Worked like a charm.

The battery from Amazon is a Energizer ECR2023 and the one you
"replaced" is the same you had in the FOB MAXELL CR2023. It doesn't matter, is just an observation. Thanks for the video!
