Got to say Chris, as much as you might be just a little disappointed these videos don’t do the numbers your reactions do, I can honestly say you’ve taught me so much about the what has become the forgotten war of the 20th century, and I really appreciate your great work. Hope you continue to produce this fantastic content. Thanks - Adam from the UK

Chris, let me just say that I appreciate everything you do and how you do it. You really add a personal touch to these places by telling the stories of individual soldiers. Hearing tales of the battles themselves is one thing but to hear in some cases even words told by the individual soldier who actually was there really hits you in the feels. The amount of respect you show for these soldiers and even locations is beyond words.
Of all history channels I watch you, JD of HistoryUnderground and Gary Adleman of the Battlefield Trust have become three of my all time favorites and most watched. You three just have a way with bringing these stories to life.

Amazing going from 454 nurses in the ANC to over 20 thousand. It's been said there is nothing greater than the heart of a volunteer. Truly remarkable stories.

So emotional, my wife thinks I'm crazy for pinking away a tear when watching you brilliant and moving video. I just have so much appreciation for the stories you tell. They deeply move me and let me feel the sorrow and anguish these man and women had to go thru for our freedom. Thank you for telling their stories. I love you.

Chris, Armchair Historian has dropped a good video on the Finnish "Winter War" of 1940 that's worth watching and commenting on.

I just wanted to say thank you. You take the time to teach us so much and although a month after release (in the case of this video) you haven't seen much attention on videos such as this, you still have impact. For example, I took the time today to teach some of my friends about Franklin Pierce. Someone they, and myself, would have never have known or cared about if it weren't thanks to you. Even if your views are low on any particular video, it doesn't mean that nothing is learned or taught to others who haven't seen the videos. I appreciate the level of humanity and understanding of events that you bring forward, and at times, even remind us that just because it was the past, doesn't mean they didn't live any less relevant lives as those who live nowadays. Please continue to do these videos, as they truly help us grow as people, and I firmly believe that understanding our past truly allows us to be the best of ourselves in the present, which molds our future to be better.

Not only were those interned at Plot E dishonoured in the ways you described, I find it interesting they were even excluded them from memorial grounds of the war they fought in and got thrown into the dirt near a WW1 cemetery.

Just came across this video.

My wife and I visited France in 2018 (actually we were only engaged at the time), and visited many of our WWI cemeteries, battlefields, and memorials. On our stay at Oise-Aisne I laid flowers at Joseph Andrade grave. He was the ancestor of a woman I knew through volunteering and none of her family had ever made the trip to France. So I wanted to make sure that for once at least someone stopped and took a moment with him.

All of our cemeteries and memorials are amazing. Whatever the ABMC's budget is, it's well spent. And if they need more - give it to them.

My Great Uncle is buried here at this cemetery. I have always wanted to go and visit his gravesite. May all of these amazing warriors RIP.

Well done. Thanks for including Rouge Bouquet. Father Duffy read Kilmer's poem at his military funeral.

Just watching your WWI videos made me realize how little us millenials appreciate how much our ancestors have sacrificed for our future. Thank you for making these videos.

I’m so addicted to your original content. I’m bingeing these videos. I’m probably more excited for your trip to Europe than you are! Very exited for new content on your VTH Originals channel!

Chris, I love this format. Please keep it up, and I'd love to see this same format with the battles and battle fields themselves. God bless, Rob

Super, super videos. I just found your site and subscribed. I'm a history buff who has visited numerous sites in France. We lived in Germany and we still have a house in Spain. We will return to Spain in a couple of years when the kids go to university. I'm using your videos to get a better picture of what happened at these sites, plus the back stories. I plan to continue to visit the sites and thanks to you, I will be better educated. I really enjoyed meeting people from all over the world when I went to Vimi and the surrounding sites. It's interesting to hear their stories!

My passion for history has been fully reignited with your recent content. I'm currently studying in the North of France and I definately wan't to go visit some of these places you've been talking about. Thank you!

I am glad Slovak was allowed home. A few years ago I was able to visit France and Belgium. Look for four great uncles who died in WW1 in Commonwealth Cemetery’s. Found them only one grave I could not visit was my mam, s brother Charlie Brennan, who died on HMS Ganley, a minesweeping trawler, which was torpedoed, off the D.Day beaches as his little ship was escorting US supply ships in. So he has a watery grave, with all his 39 shipmates. I thank them all and there comrades who allowed me to live in semi freedoms. I hope no one allows there efforts to be taken away.
