In this video, my friend @Andrew Pokornik and I went to a WCA speedcubing competition. I didn't know what I expected going into it and I left the competition a changed man. If you guys like content like this, leave a like and consider subscribing! Stay tuned for uploads by hitting the bell.

Welcome to the community! I have now been to around 50 competitions. Once you start you want to go to them all!

Remember, no speedcuber cares about how fast you are except for how fast you are compared to your past times!

Incredible video! I’ve been cubing for over a decade, and have been to over a dozen competitions, and this just gave me the feeling of starting all over again

PS: 24K views this quickly on a channel as new as yours, in a topic as niche as cubing, is absolutely incredible, congrats!

The fact that I know half the cubers I see in this comment section is insane. I've always said that the cubing communiy is extremely passionsate, wholesome and great at welcoming people.Even I felt great watching this video

This is a really awesome video about a first time competitor’s experience. It’s so interesting to see a new cuber that isn’t a little kid, I was 13 when I started and 15 when I went to my first competition and was still a little kid back then. I’m almost 23 now, have been cubing for 9 and a half years, kinda hit a brick wall as far as improvement goes, but it never gets old for me.

I hope you enjoyed your first competition and I hope you decide to keep improving, and even branch out into the different WCA events such as big cubes, megaminx, and more. I’m also looking forward to seeing your speedcubing journey continue on YouTube!

That last place speedcuber is actually my mom! She loves your video and is more than happy to occupy that last place spot for you 😉 It was her first competition as well!

Dude, as a person that has just gotten an average solve time of sub 1 minute, i can understand what you went though. Good luck on your cubing journey, as i am myself. Also, you are really under-raided, wish you well!

P.S: I haven't even been to a competition yet so you've done more lol

The best part of competitions has to be the amount of friends that you can make, I’ve been to 7 competitions so far and I’ve made like 30 good friends and also getting to know one of the best 2x2 solvers in the world Emanuel Schelin

As someone who averages about 11 on the 3x3, your improvement was mental - I took about a week to learn it and after 7 days I wasn’t even under 1:30 😭 Also I wish I had been to competitions earlier (so far I’ve been to 10 and my first one was after half a year of cubing)
