After the World Premiere Screening at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival at the Stella Artois Theatre at BMCC TPAC on 5/3/2019, a conversation with acting teacher, artistic director and film subject Wynn Handman, actor Michael Douglas, and director Billy Lyons, moderated by critic and author Jeremy Gerard. The documentary, It Takes a Lunatic, is a tribute to the life and legacy of influential acting teacher Wynn Handman, whose American Place Theater helped launched the off Broadway scene, as well as the careers of students from Richard Gere and Michael Douglas to Sam Shepard.

Wow to be liked and loved by so many...to be such a profound positive influence on so many.... he was blessed to have a charmed life and have the kind of personality that makes men and women adore him and he made the most of his personality to do something positive and significant with his life. The movie is a beautiful tribute to him.He was not a lunatic.. he was a trail blazer. Wish the camera had been closer to the stage for this video..
