Bought this 6 months ago it’s great o can handle streaming with 8 gigs and ram 1660 super ryzen 5 and I get 144 FPS stable really recommend it !

Personally, the dealbreaker for me is the heat dissipation or lack thereof. Yes, the fan noise on this rig is absolutely unbearable. The noise is so loud it sounds like the Omen 30L is about to explode. I can't think of a time when I've used any computer that was as loud as the Omen 30L and here's the kicker, it wasn't even under load. The rig was only running MS Edge with two tabs open and the excessive heat caused the fans to roar to the point we couldn't hear the sound coming from the home theater setup in the same room. CPU temps were in the 90c to 97c range and we didn't even run a game yet.

Yeah, the spec for the Omen 30L is great on paper. But if the cooling is subpar resulting in constant throttling and system shut down due to excessive heat build up, then what difference does it make to have such a spec? When a new system fresh out of the box inspires others to recommend the user to replace parts, change performance profiles, or undervolt the CPU, that's a failure.

91% review score is very generous IMO. From my experience it was more like 51%.

Getting one for 600$ in s few days with i5 10600k, 16gb hyper rgb, no graphics card, 500gb ssd. Dude that had it used a gtx 3080, but removed, i got a gtx 980 laying around, will only play 1080p anyway.

I need Help. My HP Omen 30L - GT13 - 1174 recently stopped turning on and I highly suspect is the PSU that needs replacement.

I checked the model of the PSU and its a cooler master and it has the following information:

No. L8409 - 001

Now when I check on the specific model no specific search appears on Google so I can't get my hands on that specific model.

That said since I am not familiar with the gaming PC repair and replacement process

I just want to know
What other model can be compatible with this specific machine?

Atleast one that is 550w or higher but that can be compatible with that specific model of HP Omen 30L.

For whoever that wants to help me with giving me a model thanks in advance 💜❤️.

I got mine 3 days ago and like it so far. I got the one with 3060 Ti and AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor. It can run games on ultra (Cyberpunk and Metro Exodus Enhance Edition).

Fan noise is an understatement, this thing is louder than a server room while playing games.

I was impatient for the 3090 last year when i got this. I ended up ripping out the video card and cpu and doing my own machine. Not economical but whatever, no one should buy a 3090 if you are on a budget. You can't replace the front fan without making new holes or essentially ripping the damn thing apart. The noise from this thing is just unreal. Not sure what nitwit at HP thought this would be ok, but he should be fired and hillary should hire him for email security.

"Easy upgradability" - I have 3 videos bookmarked showing you how to fake the system out if you just add ram.

I went for the RTX 2070S, because of the known poor thermals. Should receive it in a few days. About upgradability, I've also read that by installing RAM that is not sold by HP, the system doesn't recognize the frequency and defaults it at its minimum. Could you please check it out? (in case you still have the machine) Thank you and thanks for the review.
