If Orochimaru turned good it would make the entire Naruto Series a way whole lot amazing and a better story.

Also, if Orochimaru stayed in the village, that would mean that Jiraiya wouldn’t have left the village to spy on him. Meaning that both of them would have been present during the birth of Naruto / Ninetails attack. I could see Orochimaru and Hiruzen defending the village from Kurama. Jiraiya on the other hand would probably be in Naruto’s delivery room, if not he’d at least rush to Minato. With all that going on, I’d imagine there would be a lot less casualties from the attack, it’s possible that one or both of Naruto‘s parents would survive.
