When it comes to the legendary sannin, it's really easy to look at the trio and say that they're all roughly the same level of power and at one point in the series, that might very well have been the case, but as the series reached the end the power ups in the war arc to Tsunade and Orochimaru caused each to level up at an astonishing rate, making them far stronger than they had previously been in the series! So just how strong is Orochimaru at the end of naruto and the start of Boruto, he's easily the strongest of the legendary sannin and I'll show you why!

One thing a lot of fans forget about Orochimaru is that even though he switched bodies after his arms were seated, he never got his powers back throughout Naruto part 1 and only got his powers back near the end of part 2.

That means, a nerfered Orochimaru went toe to toe with 4 Tails Naruto and only gave up the fight due to him needing to switch to a new body as his time in that current vessel was almost up.

I think we can safely say he's the strongest non-Six Paths/Otsutsuki character currently alive. He literally toyed with a Kara Inner like he was a child. I really want to see him interact with Kashin Koji.

They need to bring him back to Boruto or have his own story line. They made so much hype of him and it made me appreciate his character and loved it. It would be cool if they show him experimenting on some Ootsuki flesh so he can take his power to the next level. Or better yet, he found the God Ootsuki body hidden in the center of earth. After all, if anyone can find A mythical body, it would be him.

They need to implicate orochimaru more in the boruto story…. I would love to see orochimaru and amado in the same room. Orochimaru is very wise these days in boruto… he almost reminds me of itachi.

He also has a lot of knowledge. He obviously knew about the Otsutsuki early. Had his own karma (curse mark) and he is always switching vessels.

I consider Jiryah to be the strongest because Orochimaru admits there is no way he beats Itachi but Itachi himself says that if he and Jiryah were to fight they would both die or get away severely injured. However, due to Jiryah being better suited for the long term fight and having skills to drag the fight out for that long, it could be argued he would win.

Remember, we never see Sage mode Jiryah fight the other Sanin or Itachi. Just Nagato and he killed 3 Pains as a result.

We still haven't seen orochimaru at full power in a death battle. Im pretty confident he will shine in boruto.

We can only speculate how powerful he's become seeing the results of his experimentation in Boruto, essentially getting most of what he wanted in the main series and being allowed to do pretty much whatever he wants. He likely can use sage mode now that he's in a stronger body.
