Traditional Aleppo soap follows a hot process method, made in large vats and then spread on factory floors. Aleppo soap making has since evolved to include a cold process method. This soap is made using lye, water, olive oil and laurel berry oil. Typical ratios are 70/30 or 80/20 olive oil/laurel berry oil.
