Diesel Heater Install - Part 1: Installing the cheapest ebay diesel heater with a remote into our 20ft caravan.
In this episode we'll install the unit into the van which includes:
- Positioning and drilling the holes in the floor
- Protecting the wooden floor from heat
- Cutting a hole in the caravan floor
- Attaching the hoses to the unit
- Sealing the unit to the floor

Thanks for the downpipe flange idea, I was going to fabricate something similar.

You should have removed the vinyl from under the steel plate and also used heat proof sealant when you stuck the plate to the floor.

This is great...thank you so much. I have this exact unit. What is the unused keyhole cut? It looks like something that would be used for hanging the unit...

Is it really wise to install something like this into an inclosed area made from wood? What could go would say the same if it was a high end unit.
