That... isn't how the rubber nubbin works. You just bend it out of the way, it doesn't slide to secure the drive. It only slides so you can remove it to put inb a different hole, for a smaller/larger drive.

I will buy it as it is on sale now. I need it for a 2230. Hope that it will be held in place by the thermal pad. Do you know if this is okay for 2230 too?

Even though my ssd is a M.2 2280 form factor it doesn't seem to fit, would have been nice to see someone showing how to insert a ssd into the enclosure.

When copying larger files, around 50 GB or so, I got nothing but I/O errors and the PC (a new one with 64GB of DDR5 ram) would eject the drive. The drive was running perfect while installed on the motherboard. I tried a different cable, an Anker high quality one and still got the same errors. Sad because I have an old Sabrent USB 3.0 hub that has worked flawlessly. I wish this was as good.

When using with NVMe it works normal. But when I swap to SATA it doesn't recognize the drive.

Is there enough clearance to support drives with flash chips on both sides of the PCB?

Just wondering if it would be possible to use this enclosure for migrating OS/Bootdisk to a larger NVMe drive?
For example, would I be able to clone my 500G NVMe bootdrive to a larger 1TB NVMe drive in this enclosure then swap the physical drives?

Since Sabrent do their own SSDs, there's no reason why an installation demo could've been shown and that wouldn't also answered the questions about the thermal pad being ready to go or whether it needs peeling.

If you have top exhaust case, you can just put this enclosure on top of the case and the exhaust breeze can cool the enclosure!
