A quick video on how to clean your MAP and MAF sensors on your 2.7 EcoBoost. This will be similar to the 3.0 and 3.5 EcoBoost as well. This applies to F-150, Fusion, Edge, Explorer, Expedition, Bronco, Navigator and other models. This was demonstrated on a 2015 Ford F-150, it will be the same between 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023

I recommend cleaning your sensors every 75,000 - 100,000 miles. On diesel applications, I would recommend every 50,000 - 75,000.

Very informative video. It’s good that you mentioned about lubing the orings before reinstalling. I use a thin coating of white grease applied by finger. I do the same to the oring on the oil cap. I cleaned mine today because of a check engine light and I’ve been noticing rough idling. So far no more light and smooth idle.

Coming up on 100k on our 2018 F150 2.7 and this helped a lot. Very good info. Well done. Thank you!

How did you get that air flow sensor out. I can get the wires off but getting it out of the house I can’t do without breaking it. What’s the trick

Do you think doing this would help at all with code p1016?

Thank you for the explanations.
On a 2019 3.5 I thought the sensor closest to the airbox was just a MAF. Apparently it reads IAT also?
The other two are same part numbers for the intake and throttle body tube area.
I assume these are both MAPs?
