I'm a wedding photographer and you're so right about communicating with the photographer, more specifically talking about positioning during the isle walk and bouquet toss. There's three wedding videographers that I've recommended for the last six years and I get them work once or twice per season from my clients. Tip for videographers is don't stand on the opposite side of the photographer during the isle walk, bouquet toss, and talk about how far in to approach the couple after the fist kiss. The worst thing is to have a videographer who needs 80% of his shots to be captured with a wide angle from 15' away blocking telephoto still shots. Having said all that, I am going to try hybrid shooting next summer, I tried it again for the first time in years with the R5 and it was actually enjoyable. Great video!

I'm an introvert and don't like telling people what to do, so posing the couple and getting those shots are my hardest challenges. Lol I once recorded at a wedding. When the "main characters" entered, I stood up to record them, but then all the guests also started to stand up. That felt like true power.
Edit: watching this makes me happy, because I got many things right by luck. Also, at a wedding some relatives played live music. I then used this music as background music.
