“Fly, go broke, get paid, repeat” my life story. I was working at my local grocery store as well.. flying when I could. I built up about 25 hours as 15/16 year old. I turned 17 3 months ago but haven’t gone flying in a year because my car payment and insurance is a lot to keep up with trying to fly simultaneously. Hopefully getting a loan soon and finishing my PPL by 18 and applying for United Aviate Academy right out of high school. I've done a lot of things in my life. Nothing and I mean NOTHING compares to the feeling of lifting off the ground while you're at the controls of an aircraft.
Do what you love the money will follow.

I am sure getting your license is more doable at 17 than when you live on your own having bills to pay. I think it’s awesome that you stayed focused on getting your license young because it get harder when you have bills to pay. I don’t think it’s a bad way to spend your money, 6000. Seize the day and the opportunity.

I’m 16 and I work 2 jobs to afford my lessons because my dad doesnt support my dream. I just started, I only have 2 hours so far but I’ve never had so much fun in my life! Its definitely hard and stressful but the goal keeps me going😊
