I once noticed during the gameplay of mariokart 8 deluxe, that if your character is pretty detailed, than your opponents model will look like it came from mariokart WII.... so it's giving a way more hype personally for me, because he compared the model of opponent's bowser that's far away from the camera in the new mariokart, and the character of your choice from mariokart 8, and it still looks better!!

The way Mario and Luigi’s facial expressions subtly change depending on what they’re doing is such a neat attention to detail, makes me feel really hopeful that the rest of the game is just as meticulously crafted and that they’re taking their time with this one, because even if these games are great I feel like Mario Kart for nearly the past decade and a half has been “cutting corners” (pun not intended) here and there for the sake of sticking to a regular release schedule

I noticed this detail within the trailer, Nintendo intentionally scripted the characters to drive in straight lines for the majority of the trailer to limit their animations^8{ Whenever the characters animate from turning or drifting, the camera is far away and their backs face the camera^8{ It truly is a brilliant subtle detail, the animations in this game are going to be on another level, trust that^8{
