Ultrasonic plastic welding is fast, efficient, and effective. It requires no consumables and produces no fumes. In this process, heat is generated due to viscoelastic losses in the plastic as a result of high-frequency mechanical movement. The plastic will then soften or melt, allowing the polymer chains to diffuse across the joint and become entangled, producing a weld.
