As a fluent speaker of Irish, being able to understand what they're saying is such a treat. Had to do a double take when I heard "Faigh ar ais, faigh ar ais. Fan siar." Which means "Get back, get back. Stay away."

I really like how the chief understood that Spear is just an injured, scared and confused man. Rather than joining the mob to hunt him down, he tries to make peace by showing Spear that he means him no harm, even giving him water and food. Due to how different Spear looks compared to them, he most likely doesn't speak their language (Irish Gaelic), so the chief uses gestures instead, such as drinking from the water to show Spear that it's okay to drink. He also gives Spear medical attention regarding his injured arm, and even after everything that happened in the climax regarding the two T-Rex's, he offers him the chance to stay there with them. Throughout the whole episode, he showcased both intelligence and empathy, and those qualities are probably the reason why he's the chief of the village.

I'm starting to get the impression Spear and Fang came from a lost world that didn't develop beyond cavemen while the rest of the world is at least in the very primitive bronze age

Can't really blame Spear for freaking out here. Last time he met a witch, things didn't go very well.

I love that the first people he met were relatively friendly Celts who actually spoke a form of Gaelic into the show. That was pretty cool. Usually you see Celtic people depicted as just mad savages who are brushed off like they are nothing.

Genndy Tartakovsky: A man who hates words so much, he makes entire shows without dialogue.
Jk, lovely animation as always. It's amazing how much he conveys through images alone.

1:13 I love the shocked expressions on the villagers’ faces as if they’ve never seen a man leap as high as Spear and his physical prowess and the way he moves is almost like an animal.

It’s impressive Spear managed to not kill anyone upon waking up

Villagers: "Come back, you savage!"
Spear: "Get back, you savages!"

The Chief knew it was wrong to condemn Spear for his mistakes, yet Spear still felt like he did enough damage that he needed to leave. He was on a mission anyway, he had to leave either way. The Chief forgave him. I think he made some allies and didn't realize it. Those villagers might come into play later when Spear needs an army behind him. There is a great evil in that world that needs to be defeated, Spear has held his own against many before. But this new evil is on a whole different level. This new evil is wrought by man, not nature.

Pretty sure Spear just broke out of a body cast and scared the druid healing him. Chased by Celts and scared out of his mind. After all that happened in the first season, I don't blame him.

This is one of favorites so far. I liked how the chief understands that Spear is confused and sacred. If I woke up in a unfamiliar place with strangers I don't know, I would be running for my life also. It's nice to see more human characters like the Scottish foreigners. This series reminds be of that videogame Paraworld.

The villagers speak Irish so that would mean Spear and Fang are at or at least somewhere near modern day Ireland. However, Mira spoke Arabic which means the people who took her must be somewhere near modern day Arabia I would think. So that means Spear and Fang still have a long ways to travel to find Mira.

I just enjoy how the Shaman looked more offended than anything that Spear set her hut on fire.

I really liked how this episode conveyed just how unique Spear and Fang are as a duo, how their buddy cop thing isn't natural.

Just know that there are tons of good people who are trying to help good folks out.

I find it very interesting seeing Spear next to the humans, especially with the shot and framing in that last bit, they are making it very clear whatever he is its not *fully* human, just near human, its interesting

I actually got worried that Spear would have actually killed one of the warriors in front of the villagers. They were simply healing him with aid from their witch, his experience with a village full of witches who almost tried to kill him made Spear think she was going to do the same to him.
