This video was very useful and the explanation was very clear and easily understandable. You nicely show the other features that are related to the topic, eg. count-in and metronome features! Will go now and check the other tutorial vids! :)

Thanks for these tutorials, God bless you.
Just want to share one issue, in case even after changing input to your MIDI device, you don't hear anything or no MIDI input when u play instrument, then restart your laptop first then try other things.
I tried man things, nothing worked but restarting my laptop worked.

Great video! I am trying to set a cakewalk project where I can switch live the banks to change synth sounds on my keyboard midi controller without having to open the VST.

So the solution as I think it is to use multiple tracks, with the instrument ready that I want to play on each track independently.

Switching will be via the pad controllers on my midi keyboard, then just clicking the pad would change the active track on cakewalk, and playing on the keyboard would change the sound effectively.

Problem is: How I can link track switching by midi input on Cakewalk?

Thanks a lot!

great video, thanks for the time you took. I'm having a problem, which is: after I recorded a midi track, lets say with a drum loop, and I plug a synth to record let's say a pad, the events I recorded with the drums are now played with the pad voice. How do I prevent that from happening? I want the drums to stay drums, which is what happens in your video

I have a question. When I used to go to preferences, midi devices, in the inputs and outputs I saw my audio interface and my e drums:
Focusrite - USB MIDI
TD-17

Now I see:
2 - Focusrite USB MIDI
2 - TD-17

Everything seems to be working correctly but I'm wondering what caused this change, what does it mean, do I need to get it changed back and how to do it. Thank you.

I have a question!
Please tell me how to turn on the sustain of notes??? After using sustain pedal, it's not taking the sustained notes.

I see your keyboard has built in speakers and when you play, the sound comes out from the speakers. I have an old piano Clavinova CP105 with MIDI support and built in speakers as well. I connected the piano using the Yamaha UX16 MIDI cable, I made sure there are no errors. I also checked the device settings in Cakewalk and see the MIDI connection is detected but for some reason when I play the piano, the signal is detected by Cakewalk but the sound comes out through my PC speakers not through the piano. Do you have an idea what could be the problem?

my brother, I need some help - when you are doing Comping recording, and you look at the STAFF View, it shows you every note from every single take in the same staff. Is there a way to show only the notes from the Take you have selected? It makes it really hard to do editing or reading on the Staff View, for someone who comes from a piano background and likes to read the staff.
