Can't believe 8 year old me cluelessly skipped all of this amazing writing just to get to the next level. Almost a decade later, I fond of this dialogue

After 15 years, we are coming home, MOM.

The sentimental thing about this song is that you sort of get connected to MOM, and you enter a conversation with her, but you slowly realize it's just a pre-programmed machine, and has no feelings for anything.

It's been approximately 12 years since I last heard this and it still makes me feel so emotional

You know, this reminds me the day my MOM died. She asked if I was coming over because I haven't seen her in a month or 2. And finally, when I got to go over and see her, she was her normal self. It was late, we talked for a little before going to bed. She told me she loved me. The next day she was gone like that. No goodbyes. So this title and music hit me hard as if it was written by her

Many men laid ears to the sounds of Kyle Gabler, and many a manly tear was shed in his honor.

Less than 2 months and we'll be back, for the last time. This game is way more than just a game for me. Love the fact that 2D Boy's second and final project is the sequel to WoG, and scared of the fact that this once in a lifetime experience is so close. I'm probably never getting *that* excited over a game after that point.

The choir Melody played in Burning Man was always my favorite time in this game as a kid (and still is) because the minor key and sorrowful harmonies always stuck out to me. I love hearing these kinds of harmonies in music, always have. It's really nice being able to hear this tune's reprise.
The singing in Burning Man reminds me of the factory workers finding music and song as their only hope in the factories, and that sort of carries over here- only it's MOM waiting patiently for her child to finally come home. She was always there, watching, waiting. Hoping you'd read her messages. She was there from the beginning of the game.
And now it's like you really are finally coming home. Except now, you have to leave again, never to return.
Aahhh, such a good track!

I used to listen to thing during summer school when I was slacking one year and got caught having youtube open but this song brings me back to those days and I’ve never played the game.

Oh my... this game means so much to me and no matter how many years will pass it will always hold a special place in my heart...
And for some reason it always seemed so sad but at the same time it felt - especially at the end - like smiling through sorrow.
Some things I feel through this game and its' music can't be described...

An adaption of 'A part of me stayed behind ' brought me here and it has moved me. 🥲😢

After the flame has finally burnt out, one warmth still remains; the love for those you long to be with again.

Это музыка, заставляет пролить слезу даже тех, кто не играл и не знал эту игру. Воистину самая грустная и лучшая музыка.

There's something very tragic about MOM. She's essentially been left to rot after the Information Superhighway was abandoned, and all she does now is send people letters so they would come back. And if you come back to the level after completing it, you see a message that says "MOM has gone away" signifying that she finally gave in to the many years of abandonment. Great, now I can't look at MOM without thinking about Bing Bong

There's something about this track that always sounded incredibly _fragile_ to me. Like everything could just fall apart in an instant, and there's nothing you can do.
