I seriously doubt it would be lighter and work better than the silicon tiles. As it would require a second outer stainless steel skin with kilometers of ultra-fine plumbing channels and perforations to coat the exterior. Not to mention the pumps and extra fuel that you would have to carry to orbit. Maybe they will only employ it in areas they are finding difficult to cool with the tiles.. like near hinges on the rear flaps.

The tile option does seem simpler and lighter but its not working out really well
Maybe the pumping action could be done by capillary action or by the G forces of deceleration?

This idea has another benefit, If you have water circulating around the skin of the ship, it will also block cosmic radiation.

Did Felix really say "transportational cooling?" 🤔

What keeps the fuel from igniting once it is expelled into the plasma stream?

🎉 Well... I think that while COPV tank survived re-entry, packed with some kind of material - that material should be considered and tested as the ship's protective shield during re-entry 🎉

I had that idea but I don't know if I ever sent it to Mr. musk SpaceX.

i think the heat tiles still work better.

So let me get this straight! The genius is at SpaceX designed and built a starship with a bad assumption about their ability to create a heat shield. Now we are a flight date and they are desperately looking around for someway to keep the starship from burning up on reentry, a starship that supposedly was going to be completely and immediately reusable Hence the catch towers. The method that you outline, sweating, has, of course, never been tried at the scale that SpaceX is desperately trying to use it now. Should we really think of the SpaceX engineers are just being geniuses now? Or maybe more accurately, maybe we should besorry for the SpaceX engineers because they were forced to make assumptions by the idiot clown child Elon, that they perhaps knew were not realistic, and yet they could not change them and so here they are now with a design that may need to be completely redone. Genius!

Starship looks like a big failure. Worse than the shuttle😂

IS Starship going to....?
Nope, the answer IS and always Will be a huge, loud, nice and wonderfully clear without any kind of doubt NO.
But....
NO, its a NO.
But the versión
NO.
The only Yes, and a Big ones for that Matter, IS to the question..
Will starship continue to be a useless, massive tax payer money bonfire?
YES, It was, It IS, and always Will be.
They already got the money to build a second unit for the HLS mission extensión when they still didnt supply the first one, or even have accomplished the first 2023 first step in the program.
You know, reach orbit, not even empty.
But lets Talk about Boeing being over budget. Like spending almost all the contract money with nothing to give in return its not the most embarrasing and fraudster kind of over budget scenario..
