I had the 2003 Chevy S10 4 door 4x4.. it was a blast!. The downside was about 15mpg with the 4.3 V6.. my MaverickXLT hybrid just finished production on 8 31 22.. also Velocity Blue with luxury package ..

Part sharing is kind of a nice feature in my opinion, easier to get replacements/better aftermarket selection.

I'm not a truck guy, but if there's any truck in the world I'd buy rn, it's a Maverick Lariat for sure!

How could you leave out the gas mileage? I've been getting consistently 45 mpg.

Narrow tires are better in the snow than wide. Wide tires 'float' over the snow while narrow ties press down and dig down to a harder surface.
I have an XLT hybrid, averaging 56 mpg, would hate to give that up for tires that float

Parts sharing ? You're complaining about parts sharing ? It's a Ford ! They have been "parts sharing" since Moses was in diapers ! If every part on that Maverick were proprietary, the base price for your Maverick Lariat would be $42, 000 like the Santa Cruz, instead of $25, 000 . If not for "parts sharing", they would never be able to ramp up production on anything in their inventory. With the launch of The Mustang in April 1964, The Ford Executives were very excited to hear from Lee Iaccoca that his sales team projected sales of between 42 to 55 thousand units for the upcoming sales year of 1965. Well, it all hit the fan when they took 450, 000 confirmed orders before the end of that same April. They were able to ramp up production almost instantly as The Mustang was assembled from parts from all other Ford, Mercury and Lincoln vehicles. Everything, engines, transmissions, rear ends, brakes, knobs, switches, you name it, all from other Ford Vehicles ! They just cut production of the Ford Falcon and swapped those lines over to Mustang production. Most of the parts used were already in the Que at those plants. They just had to reproduce more body stamping molds and dies. Ford knows how to save money when they have to. To this day, Ford uses the same power steering pump on all their vehicles. (with different reservoirs) for more than 50 years ! If it works well, why change it ? You can't build a vehicle with all proprietary parts and expect to keep the price down. And Ford has sure kept the price down with this WINNER !

You're not going to complain about the keypad outside the door that they have been using since the 80's?

Booyah 👊🏽😁🇺🇸, I love Idaho. I like your truck too. I ordered an XL hybrid in cactus gray.

I urge you to consider Bridgestone Blizzak tires in the same size that came on the truck. Wider tires just mean you will tend to float on top of certain snow conditions instead of bite through to the pavement.

The Tacoma interior ergonomics suck, looking forward to my Maverick whenever Ford decides to build it.

S-10 was exactly my thoughts when it was announced and even more so when seeing it in person. Thanks for the review, heard a lot about thin paint and may pay to clear wrap it. Hopefully I'll get mine this year lol 🙏

So I guess he had no mechanical problems, no weird snafus. I guess.

I regret not gettin the lux package

I did get the bed spray liner, but now as a active kayaker and paddlarbaorder its more convenient to use the 400w plug in the truck rather than the inside of the truck... The Michelin tires are really not great, they are just for gas saving, try the Michelin defenders ! Blessfully i havent had any issue with the battery problems others are having. I have the key pad and the window slider ..i didn't know that was a lux package lol

I love this this thing. I am holding out and hoping for an AWD model in the hybrid engine.

Great truck! Got my 2010 F150 STX 4WD when I need to tow mad weight etc. or have fun with the lift and 35’s. I am going to hop on the 2023 Ford Mavi order once opens up and get a basic XL Hybrid with zero add ons so no delay. Better mileage then my Focus or Corolla and mad versatility love it. My 120 mile round trip commute will be nice 👍🏼

They choose the tires that are the most cost effective for them. Factory tires are always garbage in my opinion

Paper thin paint paint has been the norm with all vehicle mfgrs. If I get a new maverick I will get a ceramic paint protection. Part sharing?

You live in a nice area. The scenery caught my eye. I am still waiting for mines. And I know about the parts sharing through my F150. I owned an escape for a few years and I was lucky I did not have the engine issues other people had with that engine. I hope the engine in the Maverick isn't that engine. Or at least they got the engine block cracking issue fixed.
