I had my 2nd liver transplant in 2018. Waiting on the list is like a roller coaster. Deciding to donate your loved one’s organs and tissues can save over 8 lives and greatly improve the lives of more than 75 people. Just from one single donor. This even includes giving sight to the blind. There is no cost to the donor family, their loved one is treated with dignity and respect during the process and it in no way affects the funerary process, even still allowing for an open casket service. There are more than 100, 000 people waiting for an organ in the US. I can’t imagine a more positive mark to leave on this world than to give so many people a second chance at life. You can’t take anything with you when you die, so why not leave this world giving the most you can.
