The Angelus

The Angelus (text below) | The Angelus is a prayer devotion to the Incarnation. It is traditionally said three times a day: 6am, 12 noon, and 6pm. You can pray it at anytime, however.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of

I’m lucky enough to live close to a Catholic Church that tolls it’s bells for the Angelus every day. 🇺🇸🇮🇪🇻🇦

I'm a student in a Catholic private school in Indonesia. We always pray the Angelus prayer at 12 PM. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with Indonesian; Tuesday and Thursday with English. Almost all children memorize it without text.

PS: I'm in grade 9. Since my country's diverse, our school has many students outside Catholic too. Like protestants; some Buddhist, Hindu (mostly the Indian/Balinese descendants), and Muslim friends. Everybody gets respect despite the background differences. The key of peace is respect🤍

"Faith without works is dead" (Indonesian: "Iman tanpa perbuatan adalah mati") is a single verse from the Bible that my teacher always taught us. What we do after we leave the Church is what matters.
