Another tip is : So that you don’t get nervous firstly : Take a deep breath. Secondly : A lot of stand up comedians motivational speakers etc. focus on three people in the crowd then switch the 3 people they are looking at, this is because 1stly : It doesn’t look like you are staring at the same spot and 2ndly : Your mind will only be talking to 3 people instead of 10s 100s or 1000s of people, a big difference
