The logic isn't sound. There is no reason an unaccountable third party needs to be dictating what we do with our money. The CCP does something similar to ESG in that there is a CCP member in EVERY company to make sure there is ideological compliance. ESG is one step removed from that.

The consequences of outsourcing your ability to research is that others will do it for you... And there is no guarantee that they are doing the research that is in your best interest.

Political correctness run amok. No thanks. I like to heat and cool my home at comfortable levels. I like to see a wide variety of food on the supermarket shelf. Fossil fuels make those things possible. I would also add that the folks pushing this agenda will be the last to feel the effects of less than sound investment strategies. They will always have food, water and heat until the end. Rationing and shortages will be for the little people.

This is all political correctness bullshit. If I'm the investor, I wouldn't really give a toss about ESG, all I'm interested in is whether the stocks/portfolios will make me rich.
