Thanks so much for this video illustration, I'm in calc 3 and this is exactly what I was looking for to understand the vector function derivative.

Excellent demonstration. Good choice of a function to use, it shows a little bit of everything. You just can't get the same feel for the derivative of a vector with static text. But the technology doesn't add much to one's insights without someone thinking through what they want to show and how to explain what is seen. In other words, when you add a talent for explaining to technology; now you've got something! I have found a lot of gems in this collection of math videos and this is one of them in my opinion. Well done. Thanks for sharing. :-)

Brilliant demonstration and modeling. This is exactly what I have been searching for to demonstrate direction and magnitude in three dimensions. Thank you, Mr. Renault and Mr. Phelps!
Three questions about the interactive figure: (1) In what language/software is that model written? (2) Is the source code for the manipulation copyrighted? and (3) Could you share the parametric equations that create the curve being traced by point B? Always fascinated when a 3D model has a known geometrical representation on a plane.
