The Zenbook S 16 OLED from Asus is one of the first laptops in the world to use a Zen 5 processor from AMD. It’s sporting ‘on device’ AI processing thanks to the NPU found in the new tech from AMD. Alongside that is an updated RDNA 3.5 integrated graphics processor which should allow for gaming on the go – all while keeping the weight to 1.5KG and looking sleek and professional thanks to the 3K OLED screen and Ceraluminum finish. Can this new laptop from Asus prove to be a hit?

that battery life is what Qualcomm were claiming for ages - AMD kept this quiet. well done !

Well done AMD - means a lot of us now who want a windows laptop with decent performance and 12+ battery life have an option apart from Qualcomm ARM. This was a surprise for me today!

I dont know why people are complaining about the cost. most of these high end laptops with OLED from Intel are around 2k without discrete. this is decent value on todays market.

Hope it comes in a 14" version as 16" is just a tad too big for me.

Appreciate all the efforts with this one. AMD are continuing to impress me, year after year - didnt think they would be releasing a laptop CPU with a potential 14 hour battery life

I wasnt expecting this to be so good - extremely surprised AMD managed a 14 hour battery life and such low power draw

14 hour battery life is brilliant, very close to Apples M Silicon - which I was not expecting

This is what AMD needed to do, I was unsure about buying ARM laptop, so this is my next system purchase

Love the overall appearance - gaming results are as expected, but that battery life is next level, not far off my Macbook Air now, maybe a few hours less

This is a very good step in the right direction for AMD - they needed this kind of low power processor and this one has knocked it out of the park IMO, amazing

Yeah this is further throwing the knife into Intels back - This has always been a real issue for Intel, low power mobile chips

Would have been nice to get a power reading from the wall with a reader - to get the overall power demand Mat

Mat, great job man - AMD are onto a winner with this - I was trying to shop for a Qualcomm but i might hang fire and see when these get released - sick of hot running laptops

ASUS know how to make good laptops - those OLED screens are amazing - although ive read some issues with some of them long term, mostly the dual screen version

At least you tested with some games and other apps apart from AI stuff, I quite like that image maker tool, its quite good, but as an overall reason to buy, I am not sold yet
