One of the greatest movies of all time. There can be no sequel or new version.

As someone whos worked in that exact type of cubicle and office setting for over 20 years...this movie has saved my sanity in immeasurable ways. I consider it a masterpiece.

Fun fact - this movie made TGI Fridays stop their whole "flair" thing LOL

I remember, during the 20th anniversary of this movie, Office Depot was selling the red staplers and they had a merchandise display with Stephen Root in character as Milton holding up the red stapler. It was crazy funny

I’m one of the lucky ones who saw this in theaters during college. Man…we had a blast during the film. The theater was cracking up. We quoted that movie to the day we graduated.

Wish it had made more money. And somehow, I feel red staplers work better.

I still quote this movie at least once a week

Yeeah, I'm going to need you to be doing a sequel for me, mkay? Sips coffe & leaves with no other explanation.

For those of us who don't know already what it looked like, you could have showed the poster. That would have been nice.
Also, he was right to not do a sequel. This movie was a masterpiece that didn't need one.

The poster was iconic. If anyone forgot it’s the man covered in post-it notes and Milton hiding behind him.

He’d be smart to just leave it with one movie and I feel like he’s the type of guy that would do that

The sequel would be, ”No One Wants To Work Anymore", where everyone is quiet quiting, or not giving their 2 weeks, and Lundgren and the Bobs have to do all the work themselves.

When Sam’s Club started selling the red Swingline 757 staplers, they cost about $7.00 each. I bought a full box of them and listed them on eBay for $24.95 each with free shipping. I sold every one of them in a couple days. I went back and bought the rest of their stock, maybe 4 or 5 more boxes and they were gone in a week. I wound up going to every Sam’s Club, Costco and BJ’s within about 200 miles to buy as many of those staplers as I could. I think I sold between 500 and 600 of those staplers before the sales started dropping off (Eventually, everyone who wanted one, had gotten one, or, other sellers started undercutting my price). I was left with seven unsold staplers, of which I kept one and gave the rest away as Christmas gifts.

It was only in the theater 2 weeks in San Diego.
Most of the guys on my ship went to see it.
1200 Marines and 400 Sailors walking around spouting movie lines were our memes.

You can still drive by that building in Texas today!

I'm surprised more people talked to Judge about Office Space than King of the Hill, but hey, I'm just happy Judge gets recognition for more than just King of the Hill and Beavis and Butthead so keep on talking to him about it. I love it.

When I was leaving a company because the owner was a jerk, I went into his office and stole his red stapler. I have it on my desk still to this day.

4. Those of us living that exact life at that point didn't want to spend our leisure time reliving it.

Physical media made films like this possible.

The producers asked Swingline to make a red stapler for the movie and they declined so the prop department bought a black one and painted it red. After the movie created massive demand, they started making it again.
