Is it just me or is this version more of a “passionately hopeful” kind of vibe while the original is more of an “Angry and Determined” feel. Both are amazing. Great job!!

Her voice is amazing, such an interesting pitch. With a lot of personality.

A song about going on living after loss, translated into funeral jazz? This one pretty much wrote itself, and you nailed it.

Took me a second to figure out why you guys chose New Orleans style, but then I remembered how New Orleans does funerals...Damn good theming and playing!

Are you guys kidding? Joey was THE perfect voice for this. That awesome lift between carry and on. I love how she makes this her own.

I wonder if 50 years from now in some jazz history class they'll be like "and scott Bradley was a band leader that kept older styles alive in the 2000's"

Ain't never seen a marching band with a piano, Scott.

I have listened to My Chemical Romance's version of this song....I couldn't begin to guess how many times....but I had never *heard* it before this version. It gave me happy tears. Joey Cook is as cute as button and the way she sings "on" is flippin' adorable. Her voice and this arrangement brought completely new light to this song for me.

This group is tightly coordinated and sweet to hear. I love all the acoustic instruments, but mostly I love the singer's unique, warm voice. I'm not a professional musician, but used to perform as a "personality" whose voice was key to my work. Her delivery wrings every tiny meaning out of this incredible song! Wow, I have to keep listening, lol.🙇‍♀️

I want this played at my funeral. And they had better dance at it.

Revisiting this as I sit in a hotel in Shreveport, waiting for the roads to be clear to go back home to New Orleans after Hurricane Ida. Bless this cover. Truly.

My best friend committed suicide the day before this video was released. I consider it the perfect tribute song and a reminder that we have to carry on with our lives even after people we love leave it. I miss you lots buddy.
If you are reading this and are in a bad place please reach out to your friends or anybody because once you're broken and defeated you're weary widows must carry on. It's really unfair. Thanks for the feels PMJ. Now I cant hear this song without bawling like a baby.

This reminds me of Over The Garden Wall!

I love how PMJ just introduced me to a fascinating original song. And, now I understand how this PMJ song version oddly relates and refers to the original in creative ways.
