The Cogent guy knows his stuff for real. Good to see a young Nigerian bro running his own gig. Regarding Ghana between Nigeria and Ghanaian properties, I have observed that Ghanaians tend to see areas around the International Airport as high brow so location is prime in such areas. This isn’t the case in Lagos although the areas around MMA are also expensive.

Wow! Very valuable tips indeed- a FANTASTIC and highly educational video. Thank you for speaking to this very impressive guy. I wish we had more men of this calibre, knowledge and integrity in Accra. $66, 000 for apartments of this quality is incredible; the developer is so switched on to how people live and has addressed major issues like network coverage, solar power generation and sustainability. I love that he is proud to use his local tiles and has considered the longevity of his materials, I was nodding along. However you always say _'location, location, location', _ as a diasporan looking to invest, first I'm looking for security and safety. I don't know if I could ever relax in Lagos.

I have done the assessment and found out that Accra or Ghana in general is the most expensive country in Africa, especially, for renting or buying properties. Also, while Nigeria is extremely cheap in this aspect, even Liberia as a small country is more costly than Nigeria

Their labour cost seems cheap compared to Ghana. Cost in Ghana is more than double the amount they are paying in Nigeria.

And one problem about the cost of higher standard of living in Gh is because Accra is the only place everything based and people know

This Nigerian builder sounds legit! To those in the comments section Nigeria is not as bad as you are suggesting it’s just a bigger city and every Ghanaian problem is proportional in Nairaland

If you’re a young man coming up now, you need serious planning in order to be able to build a supposed “dream house”. With inflation and high living cost, everything has been exacerbated. And It doesn’t matter where you’re, you’ll feel the heat 😅😅

Firstly, the exchange rate affects the proces of things in Ghana vs Nigeria, but I still think the value fo money in Nigeria is amazing for what you get.

Secondly, I will continue to say this: Ghana has a pricing problem. It is super inflated for things like real estate, restaurants etc. How can rent be 2, 000 cedis and then also going to eat in a decent restaurant also costs 2, 000. We know the rent isn't cheap so it means the food is overpriced. And it's not even top top top quality. If you were to spend the equivalent of your rent on a restaurant meal in the UK/US, you'd be getting the best of the best quality, service and presentation and it'll probably be at a Michelen star restaurant.

We've allowed mass tourism to over inflate our prices and it's hurting the country as a whole.

Great video, Boss. But I noticed the road Infront of the building is not destroyed like a lot of Developers do in Ghana. I have witnessed lots of road destruction when they break houses. Eg Labone and Labadi.

As a black American at night… I would get search 3 - 4 times then ask for a beg… in Nigeria they just ask for a beg and let me go…

I love Ghana but they're not good at business. Prices don't make sense in GH.

You cant place a price on the value of security; Accra is alot safer than Lagos.

One thing not mentioned on Building Hub is what im training in, Building Energy Managment Systems, there are many places in Lagos using this which so many facility mgmt, schools and gov agencies in lagos that monitor light, water, security and solar combined. i know one person using Sun King Solar and theyre always in the dark, no electricity stored nor generated..useless! Solar very expensive in Ghana. Nigerian buildings just fall to the ground or either get repossesed 😅 Abuja must safer apart from Maitama which is a flood plain..Avoid like plague. Another great video. Thank you my friend.

You picked even the wrong developer in Lagos😂. There are plenty others selling their units, same seize, and location for cheaper under $50k! You can let me if you need further information ❤

Lagos Nigeria is not safe, Ghana is not prefect but the level of injustice in Nigeria is unmatched, all these things are taking into consideration hence pricing of properties. There’s a say you get what you pay for.
