There is a Richard III society deeply invested in all of this, had a forensic artist construct his likeness using a cast of his skull.

Imagine this is the best time ilof that women's life, just imagine the amount of feel good chemicals that was produced when this women found the historical missing grave of the king you were obsessed with. I love it when people find sites and historical things just for the pure purpose of loving history.

I just love so much this story. He was the first body they found, his body was under a letter R and at the very beginning of the works a strong rain started. The University had some glues where the old chapel would be but the research Philipa’s group did was spot on

It's fascinating there was a funeral for a guy that died hundreds of years ago

I remember this story as it came up- it was AMAZING. She was seen as some bonkers weirdo but was 100% right

There was an 'R' in the parking lot, but it wasn't directly over Richard's resting place. There are several documentaries that describe the find in great detail. Also, the letter 'R' in a king's name stands for "Rex, " which is Latin for either king or queen. The really weird part of the story is that the king's body was found in the very first place they looked. If you know anything about archaeology, then you'll know that NEVER happens.

The fact that he was right under the letter “R” is so cool. Life can be so crazy.

The same thing happened to Matthew Flinders one of the explorers that discovered Australia. He was found under Euston Station and is to be reburied

People talk about "burying" R3 and "burying" QE2 and PPhillip, but they aren't a "buried" in the sense that we with dirt. So how to they actually intern these royal caskets? And why lead lined?

Im sorry for anyone this offends, but imagine dying in battle like a badass, hoping to be remembered as a noble king, but 500 years later there’s a Honda on top of your corpse

He was buried in a church. It was demolished due to the severity of his injuries he was buried just as he died. Tell the story or watch the whole video on YouTube

Fabulous documentary on its discovery. Died in battle and the property was a church/church yard back when he was killed.

Did he killed his nephews? Possible. They were illegitimate but Margaret could have hired people to do it to make King look bad and he won battle against Richard. Most docs been destroyed. But a historian did reveal names of the possible murderers recently.
