Not saying Hoover dam anything bad but calling it an engineering marvel of 20th century means the following are ignored:-
(1) There are dams higher, much longer and much bigger
(2) The maximum size turbine in Hoover dam is 130MW. Is this an engineering marvel in the company of 700MW typically used in big dams? Bearing in mind there are now turbines rated 850MW and 1, 000MW each already in commercial operation.
(3) The total electrical output of Hoover dam is 2, 080MW. That is tiny because according to Wikepedia as the top 37 dam have 3, 000MW as the minimum.
(4) Hoover dam generates about 3.3TWh annually. Top hydro in the world can do about 100TWh!

Claiming it as an engineering marvel in the 20th century seems like a frog looking up the sky from the bottom of a well. Due to its age it may be more appropriate to claim it was an engineering marvel when it was built in 1930s.
