This video is brilliant! Thank you! I'm ashamed that I used to know a lot more about this, but I haven't used it in like 15 years.

Great video, I've been in telecom and networking since 1985 so I've seen all this evolve. I'm so old I still remember all I worked on was IBM SNA/SDLC!

This is awesome content. Love it. Not many young guys have seen Win95 or connected two computers together like some of us have. It’s good to understand that TCP/IP is not necessary. Keep them coming David, great work!

Yes I enjoyed and benefitted from this video and the historical past. I have been a pro SW developer for 33+ years and largely worked for networking companies -- and yet I have largely avoided network programming (and therefore knowledge) till 2021. So although I have an appreciation for the past in general, the way you explain the past influencing today is most helpful. Keep up the good work!

Ah the 90s! Best dance music, the X-Files, Oasis V Blur, and networking was easier than it is now! Feels like we're going backwards in only! Oh to be back in my favourite decade...thanks for the memories David
