Admittedly, I agree. It should be pretty interesting to see how a game of this caliber performs on mid-range hardware (PS3). I feel it would turn out a lot better if it was produced for PC.

this was in the works before planetside 2 was even dreamed of, and as for not so big, there are thousands of star systems in the Eve universe, with multiple planets in each system to fight on.

Since when have you ever seen an FPS/MMO directly linked to one of the most popular large scale MMO's (EVE), in which you can actually DETERMINE an outcome? Seriously. I mean, if this is as it seems, this may just be one of the most epic video games... ever.

The game is linked to Eve Online which is a huge MMO. They say nothing about only have PC games on the channel. "Freemmogamer" nothing about consoles. This game is an MMO it IS a GAME played by GAMERS and it IS free. Lol, GG to you :)

I was thinking at selling my PS3 because i never played on it.
Then i saw this and i was like IM NEVER GONNA SELL MY PS3 as long as people play this game.

For PC, you have EVE online.
For console you have Dust514.

Technically, you can play Eve for free if you can make enough ISK in a month to buy PLEX. & an Eve player get you a 21 day free trial.

It all depends on what aspects of the game you consider important.
Comparing it to COD is a bit weird to me, as it is closer to Battlefield when it comes to gameplay (limited amount of respawns, point capture, teamplay, huge maps, ...). Objective comes first, unlike COD (as it is most played).
But as it is placed in a futuristic world, the only modern equivalent would probably be Planetside 2. I haven't played it, so I can't compare them.
Also, note that Dust does not have a single player mode.

Looks like a good alternative for PS3 players who want a taste of a game simillar to PlanetSide 2. Good luck for console players, I'll be playing PS2 on my PC :D

EVE is technically free to play.
You can easily make 600m ISK but it becomes apparent that all of your earnings will go into paying it off, so until you get really deep into it, it's just p2p.
