Shift Sys Fault Service Required Temporary Fix

Ford Lincoln push button or automatic shift function not responding due to a bushing that has cracked and fallen off. The part is cheap and necessary to replace. This will allow you to not have to tow your vehicle.

Thanks for this video! Helped me remove my car from the middle of a parking deck. I reversed and then hit the drive and car shifted back to park and was done for the next 2 hours until this video. I called for Lincoln Tow (didn't know it would still be available for my 2016 car). Driver showed me the part that was needed "LINCOLN MKC Shift Cable Bushing".

Had to do the same thing to mines hopefully it doesn’t charge me a lot to fix this was is the bushing or the shift cable that needed repair

Thanks this literally happened this weekend and only Ford has the piece 😂 2017 Lincoln MKZ and it's taken out by a $10 piece of plastic 🤷‍♀️

Shift Selector. When you change from P, R, N, D this thing moves to the right gear.

Mine came off completely and the bushing was gone as well. I placed the gear selector back onto the pin and was able to get my car safely to the dealership (about .01 miles away thankfully) if anyone is still looking for the part name it’s Transmission shifter bushing set and it costs about 6$
