I’ve been searching for a cranberry sauce that I loved. I now have found it! At first I didn’t like the tartness of eating a cranberry that hadn’t burst in the pan so I used the back of my spoon and burst all the cranberries. For me after breaking the cranberries, every bite is a sweet tangy cranberry sauce but not a burst of tart. Love it. Thank you.

I make my Cape Cod Grandmother's cranberry sauce - a little different. You take one orange and slice into eight sections and put in food processor skin and all (remove seeds!) and pulse into small pieces. Put about 3 cups fresh cranberries into processor and pulse. Place both in bowl and add 1/2 cup sugar. No cooking! She ground in table mounted grinder as she never had a food processor! As a child I loved hearing the cranberries pop as they were ground ! We also made cooked, whole berry sauce w/ just cranberries and sugar.
I grew up eating cranberries fresh from my Uncle's bog - not the same buying them in the store!

Thank you Mary!!!! I just had to come to your channel because I knew I’d find the best cranberry sauce recipe!!!! And I did! There is a shortage of canned cranberry sauce here in South non to be found at any store so I knew I had to run to Mary! I did find fresh cranberries so I made my own following your recipe and it was the best I’ve ever had! It was indeed glorious! My goodness I could eat the entire pot by myself! Looks amazing! I make mine like this except I add diced apples, chopped pecans and a hint of brown sugar to it as it cooks. Mrs 'Heidi' Rain gave you a shout out...

I made cranberry and mandarin orange sauce that I canned. I entered it into my Texas county fair and received a blue ribbon! I didn't use orange juice, I used the whole, separated oranges with the cranberries. I have been watching you now for several years and make everything from canned sauces to canned chili, home canned chicken vegetable soup ( made with bone broth), and pickled vegetables. My diet is now so varied from what it was that I'm now confident to try just about anything! Thank you for teaching me so much information. Do you have a recipe for pocket pies filled with cooked fruit? That is my next project. Got to go can a bunch of banana peppers with onions, then onto my box of tomatoes to can!

I like to put some spices and pomegranates in mine, in addition to the orange juice and zest... sometimes I add chopped pecans, too. I love the sweet, sour, and crunchy texture.
