Intro:
The Logitech BRIO is one of the few 4k webcams on the market. Will it be the right choice for your setup, Lets find out!
In this video I will show you how the BRIO functions,the specs, how it looks, sounds, and how the G HUB app works with it.
BRIO Overview:
Let’s first Begin with an overview of the webcam, the Brio is a 4k HD Webcam.The webcam shoots at 1080p/60FPS and also at 4kp/30FPS. The webcam is probably the best picture from a webcam I’ve seen in my use. The average price for the BRIO is $160 but you can find it on sale for $130 on sites such as B&H

The BRIO comes with a mount for your monitor but you can also screw it into a tripod if you want to. It also comes with a detachable Type C to USB Type A cord and can be replaced by any Normal Type C cable from my experience.

The Webcam comes in one model, but may go by separate names:
In store you will either see it called the Logitech Brio or the Logitech Ultra 4K Webcam, recently though I’ve seen the Ultra 4K webcam branded one more and more.
The webcam has three FOV options being:
1.Example - 65
2.Example - 78
3.Example - 90
The webcam also includes a high quality microphone:

GHub App:
Now lets take a look at the GHUB App, which is how you control the logitech BRIO

The Camera features include Multiple Camera modes,Zoom,focus both manual and auto, and Exposure.
The Video features include preset video modes, Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, White Balance, and saturation control.
The camera also looks very good with its default settings and the only video related issue I would mention is that it gets over exposed to light very easily so make sure you close your blinds if you record or stream with it..
The BRIO has the same issue with saving presets over reboot like the c920 does, so that is a major issue in my eyes.
Work Purposes:
The main question I ask for work purposes is how does it work with Zoom,Teams,Webex,etc…
In my opinion I would say that it is overkill for any sort of work setting unless you’re a person who is having regular work meetings. It does lack some zooming features that I think a premium webcam should have for conference room type meetings. It is however great for personal meetings and I’d recommend it over any other webcam on the market like the stream cam and the AVerMedia PW513 Webcam.
Streaming Purposes:
For streaming purposes I’d say that it is the best webcam you can pickup on the market, but it is at a weird price point. You have to decide whether you want to spend $400 for an actual camera like the Lumix G7 or the Sony a5100. If I were you I’d wait for it to go sale for less than $150 as I feel that is the breaking price point for me. Especially since you don’t get the BOCA effect aka the blurry background that a lot of streamers crave. It is the cheapest way to get 4K as well other than using your phone to record, so that is a major plus in my opinion and the only reason I may pay more for it, but at the moment it is actually less the Stream Cam so you can’t beat the deal if you get it on sale.
Conclusion:
My final conclusion is that I’d say go ahead and scoop this up if you are a full time remote worker or a streamer who is just starting to earn some income. I think it's a great pickup for you. It is at that great middle ground where it isn’t super expensive like a DSLR camera but isn’t a cheapo 720p camera that is going to make you super washed out.
