I SWEAR THIS IS THE ONE OF THE ONLY MOVIES THAT MAKES EVERYONE CRY

What makes me broken even more is in the end, the grandma and the fox don't even get to be together anymore. And even the fox and the hound can't be good friends like before. Why though, it's too sad like it's true that the goodbye's forever. Damn it!

Actually, the ending of the movie is more emotional to me. How they are forced my circunstances to stay away from each other, but still reminiscing about their childhood...man, this movie is beautiful in many ways.

Disney: how can we make this scene sad?
Creators: companion separation, old lady crying, sad music, a sad poem?
Disney: i want all of those....

Foxes have the personality of the energizer bunny when they grow up. They knock things over for fun and chew everything in sight. If you leave them alone for a few minutes, your house will look like a tornado came through. No matter how sweet and affectionate they are when raised with people, no matter how many tricks you teach them, a fox is still a fox. So regardless of the cranky neighbor, Mrs. Tweed did the right thing.

I'm already over the red wedding in game of thrones. that was a few years ago.

this film is over two decades old and I'm still not and will not ever be over this scene.

Yep, can't watch this scene without weeping, either. I once asked director Rick Rich if he could tell me more about what inspired him to write the music for this song, but Rick doesn't exactly like to talk about the production of The Fox and the Hound because it was such a rough experience for everyone involved.

I'm a 28 year old male. Works out 1 hour per day weight training. I eat nails for breakfast...Without milk. But the tears, they role down my face like the inevitable cascade of a tsunami no sediment could stay still for. Because I was 5 years old when I watched this. I was 5 and that little child is still in me.

I went to the theater and saw this when I was in first grade. My grandmother was visiting and took me to see it the night before she was driving back. The next day at school I began crying so hard thinking about the sad scenes, especially the one you showed, that my teachers became concerned. I was inconsolable so they asked me what was wrong. I knew my parents wouldn’t be happy that I became so emotional and disrupted my school work over a movie so I told a half truth (a lie) and said that I was sad my grandmother was leaving and I would not get to say good bye. When my memaw heard about this she came by my school on her way back to Little Rock and hugged me and told me how much she loved me. That seemed to do the trick because I quit crying and made it through the day. One of the few vivid memories I have from early childhood. Sorry so long but I had to share my Fox and The Hound story. No one but but my wife and whoever reads this Knows this story lol!!

A lot of people says that Mufasa’s death is the saddest Disney scene, as an animation student I cannot agree, Mufasa’s death wasn’t made to cry but to be scared, this scene was really made to cry, if someone ask me which scene is the saddest, this would be my answer
