He graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters Degree before achieving his PhD in sports science, in the field of biomechanics from Auckland University of Technology. Bret has a great Website which I highly recommend where he publishes blogpost on a regular basis. He also have a great Research Review which he co-authors with Chris Beardsley.

In this podcast Bret and I discussed glute training.

Some of the topics we talked about where:

1.What is the function of the glute muscles?

2.Why is it important to have strong glutes for general health?

3.Exercise selection, training frequency and glute activation

4.We also talked about a study that Bret conducted where he compared different variations of the hiptrust (barbell, band and American hipthrust).

Bret is one of the speakers at the AFPT convention 2016 in Norway.
