July 27, 2013 - As a surprise special guest, Carly Simon joined Taylor Swift on stage tonight to sing You're So Vain together. It was the second night of Swift's sold-out Red Tour at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. When I first heard this song on the radio, I was in my early 20’s and in the kitchen of my small apartment. I just stopped and was in awe of the lyrics. I thought these are the best lyrics in the world... how brave of her to say exactly what all women think at one time or another. Taylor’s lyrics are so brave and relatable just like Carly’s are!

My mom told me that when I was 4 years old in 1974 I would stand up in the back of our family car and sing You’re So Vain and this duet with Taylor is really great cause she’s my favorite female artist and I’ve been a fan since Tim McGraw in 2006. I’m now 52 years old 💗🎵
