The problem with this world is all this hypocrisy, most know what’s morally right and wrong, and ofc I think Russia is in the wrong for this potential war, however the lack of willingness to make concessions by the West and Ukraine will do nothing but enable this war. Also all the talk of sovereignty, freedom and democracy is great if those talking about it and using it to condemn Russia also follows these principles and apply these standards to themselves, which historically and factually don’t. For example the UK/United States literally toppled an Iranian Democratically elected leader back in 1953, not to even mention the involvement of the United States in South America, and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Also the wars in the Middle East that the US created post 9/11. The hypocrisy from the west is unbelievably obvious for anyone that knows a little about history, and calling out the western hypocrisy shouldn’t justify Russia’s actions in our eyes, the eyes of a common person, but politically this matters.
