Yes there is bad balancing, but so far I am enjoying it

TCG pocket has brought me back to playing Pokemon after many years. I'm happy that you are enjoying it as well Verlis.

Also definitely agree with your take on Lt. Surge. I’ve seen people praise the card before, but I just don’t get it. It’s a really awkward card that you have to force to make work, but I feel like all the shuffling energy around on your bench is just counter intuitive. It’d be better to play a deck where you don’t need to do that with your energy placement.

I think Misty is a bit overrated. I do definitely agree it’s unbalanced because you can win turn one. Which is really dumb, but that comes with card game territory where people will find a way to win turn one. But the odds of you winning turn one with a Misty are just insanely low, even if it is possible.

I always get spooked any time I play against a Misty, but what almost always happens is they either tails on the first flip or tails on the second flip. And yeah, 1 extra energy is pretty good for them, but it doesn’t decide the game.

I feel like this game was partially made to teach patience to the pokemon community

Couldn't agree more about the placements of everything. Lt Surge is so weird. I understand the whole point is to set up two magentons and funnel into 140 damage from Raichu everyturn, but thats so slow and impossible to pull off and its just so much weaker than the other options.

I've been starting to realize the same thing about how weak potion is as well.

I think Brock is fine for Golem, but Onix is still too slow and that retreat cost is ridiculous even with Brock support.

Nice video!

In a meta where Sabrina is played in 100% of the decks, I think fossils are the counter of it, so also tier S (specially in stage 2 Pokémon decks)

Also, red card I think it's definitely tier C, I don't think it's useful at all besides turn 1 play. You will never find a realistic useful red card in turn 2 or more since opponent will normally not have more than 3 cards in hand, (Pikachu decks empty their hand turn 2) and if they do have more than 3 cards in hand, it means that they are already losing the game since they didn't manage to find their win condition by turn 3/4
