I've been loving watching you recommend middle grade books. You've got me to read quite a few middle grades that I've absolutely loved. I always felt funny and dumb because I"m in my 40s and I love to read children books, but you made me realize that it doesn't matter how old you are, you can read whatever you enjoy reading. Just want to say how excited I am that I found your channel! I have really enjoyed reading middle-grade books for a long time, but since my kids grew up and moved out, I haven't been "in the know" about good ones that are more recent. And by that I mean mostly the last 10 to 15 years have gone by without my reading anything new in middle-grade (my youngest is 25 so...). Can't wait to try some of your recommendations!

Also, please read The Language of Ghosts: I really loved that one! It has an adventurous story combined with wonderful sibling dynamic, which reminded me a bit of A Pinch of Magic, so I'm thinking you might love it too.

I didn't really read many "clear" middlegrades last year, but one that I absolutely loved was The Way To Rio Luna by Zoraida Córdova.
I hope that she will write more middlegrade books and I really need to start read more of them!
