I am in 6 hours range, when my body says "is enough, you have to rest" then I sleep around 9 hours in that night, then I am good to go for another 2-3 weeks.

Yep me used to barely sleep for like 4 to 5 hours a day during hs and in 4 years of uni. This ability was insane during exams and stuff but once i started working things took a bad turn. I used to feel lethargic and tired all the time and the worst part was i used to get quality sleep for abt 6 hours once in two days!

I decided to turn my life around, started going to the gym and it made me sleep everyday for 8 whole hours on an average. The feeling was so insane i felt like a whole new person, had an insane progression and felt like a beast all the time, my symptoms of depression reduced significantly and for the first time i felt like i can do anything in the world

There's only a couple of thousand people in the world which can function on less sleep. Almost all of us need at least 8 hrs of sleep.

I used to sleep only 4 to 5 hours a day, my cardiologist told me to sleep at least 7 hours because it's better for the heart.
I adjusted my sleep time to 7 hours with improved energy levels, mood and lower heart rate during the day.

I only sleep an hour a day sometimes and people say i have too much energy like i just slept 8 hours

That's exactly what defines who I am. I can literally sleep less than 6 hours just like my mama and papa, even my aunt and uncle and my cousins as well. Well I guess I have those Genes since I can easily observe it through my parents and closed relatives as well.

There are more than this gene of beta adrenergic receptor "ADRB1" for the condition you described " Familial natural short sleep" . eg: NPSR1, GRM1, ...

Fun fact about me: no matter how much i slept (2-4-6-8-10 hours of sleep) but if it was afternoon i will alwqys be sleepy 😂

When i used to work as an auditor i used to sleep less than 2 hours and I was still able to function quite well for atleast next 3 days...i rarely felt tired...but overtime i realised this was not healthy and should be corrected..

So i resigned 😂

Sometimes I sleep for 4-5 hours and feels good but other times I do that, and I still feel sleepy. Same thing with sleeping 7-8 hours. In fact, there were times when I was teenager, I can sleep for 3h or less and I felt good.

5 - 6 hours sleep. 20 minutes light exercise 3 hours before sleep. Skip dinner. I think is ok. Thanks to God. Even when i have asthma and alergic. Those medicine sometimes make me love to sleep

I am so happy to hear this news. I only sleep about 5-6 hours a night but it nevers seems to impact my energy levels. I was worrying about longevity relative to getting less than 7-8 hours sleep per day. That is a weight off my mind
