Tibialis Raise with Band or Kettlebell

The Tibialis Raise is a staple of any knee or ankle rehab program. Using a kettlebell for the tibialis raise is my favorite version of the exercise. Many people perform the tibialis raise with a band instead and leave a lot of potential for knee and ankle rehab as well as strength training on the table. I'd encourage anyone to try both versions of the tibialis raise and let me know in the comments which one they felt was more challenging!

I loop a small gym towel through the handle so I can both keep the KB on my foot when my toe points down, and so I can do negative reps.

How much weight would you recommend for the kettlebell when doing this exercise? Thanks in advance!

Or a simpler idea which I do, use a regular dumbbell like in the background and hold it between both your feet and raise up and down. Simpler is better in my world :)

need help with chronic posterior shin splints.. its very localized but i know it is not a stress fracture( I have had one) i want to run but nothing has helped me so far .

Damn I literally have been doing these for years. Only problem with most KB though is only works if smaller feet 😄 good stuff though

The only weight that fits on my foot is a 12 pound lol
