I brought it a month ago and Its not a great phone honestly. Yeah there is a lot of specs on paper but what is the use of them? why give wireless charging, it only makes sense if the charger port is destroyed or you already have a wireless charger at home, which is not likely. Also the processor is horrible, it is not able to perform with basic games and social media. The best part about the phone is display+camera+looks. Looks are a conversation starter for sure, feels premium and sturdy to hold. Display is bright and works well even in sunlight. The camera is really good, it captures colours perfectly and and also works like magic. The biggest con is the processor, the camera is so good but the processor is not able to handle the camera most of the times, it crashes a lot and takes a good amount of time to process the pictures. Although they come out really good. There are many random bugs and glitches that are not optimized yet. I would not suggest this phone for more than 28K. Edit: there are heating issues especially while charging, but day to day use it does not get too warm.

Issues faced by me on Edge 50 pro in last 2 months of usage

1. OS & Moto Launcher takes up 4GB RAM causing phone to crash when you use other RAM intensive apps.
2. Camera closes on its own randomly
3. Battery usage management is ultra strict, causing accessibility apps to fail even after whitelisting
4. Randomly gets logged out of apps
5. For some reason, Swiggy app lags a lot on this phone. Rest of the apps work fine.
6. Screen scratches very quickly. Never had any of these issues with my previous phones.

Im glad y'all have made a long term review of it. Been using this since a month and i gotta say this is really great in some aspects but very poor in others. As you've mentioned app lock is a feature i use all the time its missing, the camera app is ridiculously slow and buggy it just cuts off in between shots. Having said that, it's the best camera phone ive tested in that price range.

One more important thing is when I've tried to unlock the phone it suggested me to use the pattern lock which is fine from time to time but it didn't unlock when i gave the right pattern. Ive restarted it still didn't unlock. It almost gave me a panic attack. As good as the software tuning is, its poorly optimised and what about times when you're in an emergency?

Moto seriously needs to address these issues, despite two updates, there's no improvement in this. However it's still the best phone for camera, display and stock android with ecosystem features.

Have you faced the same issues?

I have been using this phone for the past two weeks and recommended it to two of my friends, who bought it in the first sale. This is the best-looking phone not just under 30K—I would say even iPhone users are surprised by its design and display. It has a best-in-class camera, but if you’re looking for a gaming phone, this isn’t for you. Not everyone is a gamer, so for day-to-day usage and media consumption, this phone is a better choice. Keep in mind, if you’re buying a gaming phone, you can’t expect this level of camera performance.

I do have some concerns about the absence of an app lock, a dedicated gallery app, and an always-on display (AOD). Even basic features like scheduled power on/off are missing from this device. However, considering the price point, I’m satisfied with it.

The pace of smartphone innovation has slowed in recent years, but this device has all the best features you’d expect in a premium smartphone. Go for it! 🎉

I am using 8Gb Ram variant by 2 month
Most of the vendor releasing AI feature (Specially one plus Nord 4 feature) motorola is laging behind. even we miss proper call recording feature in our day to day use.
I don't think Google photos is enough right now motorola should release their own gallery application.
Wireless charging is irrelevant for most of the user.
camera laging issue is still an other headache.
Overall really a good phone motorola should not drop its price like realme
At the end UFS 2.2 is shameful at this price range unless it is tuned well.

Your regular viewer keep it up...🎉

Paid by Motorola. Company couldn't solve bug issues after such long time

Order the phone in the first sale, It is still doing excellent except the camera (it's their best and worst features) as you mentioned and sometimes it kills the apps in the background like WhatsApp, Insta.

Edit : Updates are still kind of hit and miss, they provide updates for name sake as of now. Just to say that they committed to update schedule.
No major fixes from the day of launch

I'm using edge 50 pro since may and I can tell that this phone is over all balanced phone and camera, display, performance, design, all are good but there is one thing that I have to point out it the bugs in the software
For example: camera app lag and it takes photos ab but slower then other phones...., sometimes like when I use Instagram then the brightness of the app is normal but when I open keyboard aur control panel then there brightness increases everytime and I don't know why is this happening and sometimes there's a bit lag in the UI but that's pretty rare.
In conclusion I'll suggest moto to focus in there software department majorly. ALL OVER I'M REALLY SATISFIED WITH THIS PHONE 😊❤

For reduce heating and battery drain problem on Motrola edge 50
1. Go to settings or App info turn off background process for uneccassary apps
2. Turn off storage sense
3. Put it to 120hz
As of my obervation this mobile is heatingup only at inital stage because of mobile setup running in background
After you adjusted the setting it came to normal.
Dont complain there is no mobile exist which is not heatingup
This is a good mobile

Moto hardware has been decent no problem with that but the Major problem is their lack software support it's very bad! this phone came out long time my friend bought it she's encountering some Bugs yet still didn't fix anything so wouldn't not recommend it

I have been using the Moto Edge 50 Pro for the past few weeks and have observed notable performance issues and heating issues while charging. However, excluding performance, the device offers a positive user experience. Regular software updates have been provided, and the operating system functions smoothly with the exception of the camera app. The Smart Connect feature has proven highly beneficial during gaming, meetings, and general laptop use. Notably, the overall software experience surpasses that of comparable devices from Oppo, Vivo, Poco, Iqoo, and Xiaomi. The device was purchased at a competitive price of ₹25, 500.

Using this phone for last 2 months, , for normal gaming and day to day uses this phone is a killer. But still there are some cons:
-Camera app lags.
-Sometimes it automatically shuts down (Maybe for my phone only).
- Battery life 👎
-Haptics👎
Pros:
-Good display and speakers
-Camera quality 👍👍
-Charging speed is good
-Phone can be properly held in our hands
-Moto gestures 👍

Nice video. People are stupid enough for saying paid video. But the things you pointed were correct.

Moto edge 50 pro also has a bluetooth connectivity problem when it's connected with two devices like ear buds and watch, it sometimes gets confused as to which device to use as primary.
