Decal Machine is great, messing with round geometry is an ultimate sadomasochistic pain in the ass

Was a bit triggered that you don't "Re-Apply" the Decals, so the match the surface :)

The problem with plugins like the decal machine is that is like using a template. More or less, all the users will make similar geometry or decals. It´s good for a out of focus background. Nothing more.

Hey Masterxeon, love the work you're doing, Boxcutter is so much fun to use. I have a question about it:


is it possible to export a "boxcutter'ed" object out of blender and into another program, like Octane for example? When I tried to do it, the exported object looked very different than it did when it was in blender. It became pretty messed up.

This is ASMR or he recorded it at dawn 😂 JK. I never used plugins in blender, im wondering something, do you take into consideration the default hotkeys (wich are so many, so maybe not) and create different hotkeys for the plugin?? Or do you have to enable the plugin and the hotkeys work inside it, and then you turn it off? (latter makes more sense to me tbh)

Hi, just wondered if the custom cutter that you use is in the downloadable Blend file, it would be great to try and replicate what you are doing as I have just purchased the Box Cutter Bundle.

awesome again! :) just a quick question here - any idea how to setup things to have both boxcutter and decal machine mapped to "d" shortcut ? it doesn't work in my blender build ( april 10th) . It even seems like turning on boxcutter disables decal machine ( i think that because decal machine pie menu doesn't show even if i map different button than standard "d" )
