A short insight into the first version of Microsoft Office for Windows. Microsoft Office 3.0 (or Microsoft Office 1992) contained MS Excel 4.0, MS PowerPoint 3.0 and MS Word 2.0c. You can see how the earliest MS Office programms looked like. How were their user interfaces and functionalities.

I highly recommended you to watch this video on fullscreen mode in HD.

Exactly my thoughts...
It's difficult to find a BGM that fits on a video, kudos for the maker.

Interesting. A lot of the base features are still there in that early version, not really changed that much between this and 2000 (pre-ribbon days).

I remember this too! For me, it was back on a 486 DX2 system... if memory serves about 20 floppy disks and half an hour of installation. :)

Powerful technology, my dad once told me in the 70's during his SAT test he could have probably made it into Harvard with a Ti Titanium had they existed back then. With that being said even excel from 92' has ability to help a person calc their cash flow, covered option plans for day traders, etc. So advanced and that's not even covering the code behind this software, it was probably written with the IBM macro assembler, C and god knows what else. It must be nice to have the skills to write and develop API's for major software companies...

This takes me down a great memory lane :)
What's funny is, despite all the different operating systems I have used over the years, not once have I used the thesaurus that is on Microsoft Word. I've always had a thesaurus in paperback.

Oh man. I can remember using that program. We have all been consigned to the digital graveyard now. Time and technology have passed us by. We only have the dim dark cold and lonely digital desert. Thanks for the music.

I have an old Windows 3.1 computer with MS Office 4.3 Professional on it, which includes Word for Windows 6.0. Still my favorite. Oh, what great times I had as a kid...

Great. 20 years old, but still has more functionality than most users will ever need.

To think we actually worked on this. I remember the hype it created. If I look at it now even the toolbar buttons look clumsy lol

This was not the first version of Office for Windows, that was 'The Microsoft Office for Windows', which came out in 1990. A Mac version came out just before that. It had Word 1.1, Excel 2.0 and PowerPoint 2.0. Two updates followed before Office 3.0 came out. Office 2.0 was Mac only.

The music, it sounds like something that would be played at a funeral
