my itinerary
Hanoi
↪MẸT Vietnamese restaurant & Vegetarian: super solid vietnamese food w big portions!!
↪Banh Mi 25: mainly tourists- I’d recommend the small stalls on the street with stools where you see locals eating!!
↪Hương Việt: contrary to the google reviews this was my least favourite meal in vietnam. I think they specialize in vegan food. The pho was the worst i’ve ever had.
↪LIM DONUTS HANOI: cozy little donut shop! not the best but super cute!!
↪Leo's Tavern - a hidden gem tucked away in a cozy upstairs flat. the staff were so cute and friendly and danced and sang karaoke with us.
↪King Roti - Hàng Gai: crispy shell and soft fluffy interior w. oozing filling. Served warm so delicious!!

Ninh Bình:
↪HOANG CUISINE Vietnamese restaurant and vegetarian: everything was incredible and flavourful and the staff was so friendly! Portions are HUGE!
↪Chookie's Beer Garden: sensational carrot cake.
↪A Tam Coc Restaurant & Coffee: delicious coffee and really good pho! Lots of variety!
↪Mua Caves: a cool experience, easy climb
↪Trang An boat tour: chose this over tam coc (more tourists & expensive), there are 3 routes and we chose the longest, i felt like it was TOO long..
↪Banhmi Minh Khoi - Restaurant - Coffee: pretty average

Hoi An:
↪ Bikini Bottom Express Hoi An: smoothie bowl was genuinely the best i’ve ever eaten. Great American comfort food. Vibes = immaculate.
↪Cơm Linh - Vietnamese Restaurant: best vietnamese omelette.
↪Buttercup by Rosie's cafe: so cute lots of yummy brunch options
↪The Golden Hands Bridge: recommend skipping, overhyped, underwhelming.
↪Hoi An Heart Restaurant: food took 2 hours to come out. Service not great. Noodles were bland and cold.
↪the espresso station: cute cozy super aesthetic drinks.
↪Madam Khanh - The Banh Mi Queen: so good. I couldnt stop eating it. $1.18 USD?!
↪ Heaven and Earth Cycling Tours - Hoi An ( better than i expected, loved the guide)
↪ Pause and Enjoy Restaurant: good not great- loved the free fruit!

Ho Chi Minh City:
↪Gujarat Indian Restaurant: 100% vegetarian. I licked the plates clean.
↪RingRing Artisan Gelato: below average gelato
↪Pure Bowls ( Acai Bowls ): refreshing!
↪Cu Chi Tunnels (didn’t film): it was educational but i don’t think it was worth the 3 hour drive there
↪Acai Bliss: yummy!
↪War Remnants Museum (didn’t film): very sad. so informative. incredibly graphic. Very crowded. Highly recommend.
↪Pizza 4P's- so impressed. everything was delicious.. The atmosphere is also fantastic.
↪ Ralf's Artisan Gelato: a little pricey but yummy!

0:00 - bye singapore
0:59 - Hanoi
6:19 - Ha long bay
9:33 Ninh Bình
12:02 sleeper bus
12:35 - Hoi An
20:25 - Ho Chi Minh City
23:36 - that’s a wrap

ik you probably won't see this but i just rly wanted to let you know how much your videos mean to me as im recovering from an ed. every day of recovery was genuinely so scary and confusing, but ive started watching 1 or 2 of ur videos every night to remind myself of how amazing life could be w/o food restrictions. youve srsly saved me and inspired me to keep going everyday instead of relapsing and falling to habits that were destroying my body. thanks to you ive learned to genuinely love my body the way i couldnt even at my lowest weight <33 much love

Hey Linda!! I usually never comment but I just wanted to thank you for this video :)
I’m a 16 y.o. girl, half Vietnamese and half British, currently living in California😋!
I visited Vietnam last year (where my mom is from) and watching this vid brought back so many memories from that trip, which was one of the best times of my life. I’ve grown up never feeling “Vietnamese enough, ” but being in VN made me feel in tune with that part of my heritage in a totally new way. And this video reminded me of that.
I’m still growing up and becoming myself, and your videos have helped me a lot—especially your relationship with food and how you view your body. Also, last year when I was in Vietnam, your videos about visiting Singapore and experiencing the Asian beauty standard firsthand struck a chord with me and gave me a lot of comfort as I was feeling the same way.
I’m actually going to visit my Vietnamese grandparents and relatives (in CA) for the next few days, so this post was perfect timing LOL. Currently my mouth is watering thinking about the good food I’m bouta tear up
ANYWAY this got so long but I love you so much; TY FOR BEING YOU!!!💕

The weather in Vietnam may not be so ideal but it made the place looked soooo deep. The rain complimented the place so much 🥺✨

your narration during the ha long bay part almost made me cry - i’m on a month long trip in europe with my dad and have started to really struggle with food guilt (i’m from japan, so definitely a very different variety of food) but it was a much-needed reminder to simply focus on the present and enjoy these special moments🥹 thank you!!!
